The Universidad Politécnica de Valencia with its Instituto IDEAS has the honour to host the 5th International Conference CONIDEAS from Wednesday, November 26th to Friday, November 28th, 2008.

The conference will take place at the Paraninfo of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV), in the main campus of the University (Campus de Vera). This venue is located near the seashore (15 minutes walk), and it takes only a short ride to reach the historic center of the city, the museums and other places of interest.

CONIDEAS International Conferences

The aim of the UPV through its Instituto IDEAS, is promoting the creation of new innovative and technology based companies, the reason why it annually celebrates the CONIDEAS International Conferences.

The 1st and 2nd CONIDEAS editions took place in Valencia (Spain) in May 2002 and May 2003. More than 250 attendants from Europe (Italy, Scotland, Germany and Spain) and South America (Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba and Venezuela), considered CONIDEAS as a perfect forum to share knowledge, experiences and contacts. Apart from the main topics of both congresses, useful tools to encourage entrepreneurship were presented by 20 speakers from Spain, Europe and the United States.

The 3rd CONIDEAS International Conference took place at the University of Concepcion (Chile), in November 2004. International professionals and speakers talked about: “Firms Creation from University R&D, Entrepreneurs Training, Financing Firms Creation and Entrepreneurs Training”. 220 people attended this edition.

The 4th CONIDEAS edition was celebrated in Mexico FD in June 2006, due to the interest of expanding CONIDEAS trough South America. 150 professional attended the congress under the topic “Knowledge, Innovation and Firms Creation”.
