Resumen del contenido: A workshop about ‘OPEN, BIG and SPATIAL DATA on OPEN GIS’ will be devoted to the study, analysis, visualization and mapping of big data geodataset by GIS. The work will be performed in a GIS environment with a well-known pipeline. It will tackle the following subjects:
• Big Data and GIS: rules and definitions
• Spatial Big Data and Geographical Open Data
• Open Data and Open Service: standard and interoperability
• Geoportal and platforms
• Mapping and Open GIS

During the meeting we will have the opportunity to discuss about the new topics of research in Geomatics. We could promote and develop innovative solutions and applications that could be engineered in the topics of:
- Cultural heritage management and analysis.
- Landscape and environmental monitoring.
- GIS and 3D CityGML for urban data.
- Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.

Any activity will be illustrated focusing the attention on the joint topics useful to define possible projects. Every kind of applications and training stages which might involve doctoral (and master's) students will be included in collaborative projects.
During this meeting the expected outcomes and the impact on the future development of the teaching competences will be exchanged between both institutions.

Strengthening collaboration between professors and PhD students of both Universities, at Italian-Spanish level, involving multi-disciplinarity working groups. The cooperation of both parties augments the value about the exchange of knowledge and innovative applications and involves collaboration about state-of-the-art Geomatic topics. It gives furthermore the possibility to share degree thesis and/or postgraduate work reinforcing exchange of students and teachers between universities at various levels in the near future.

Furthermore such research can have implications for both scientific community in terms of:
• Scientific production: scientific publications at international level will contribute to the development and dissemination of knowledge/results in the field of research.
• Strengthening collaboration with the involved professors of the Università Politecnica delle Marche: to realize or continue collaborative projects both at Italy-Spain level that at European level, involving other working groups.
Share degree thesis and/or postgraduate work reinforcing exchange of students and teachers between university at various levels in a neighbor future.
• Promotion and development of innovative solutions and applications that could be engineered.
