This workshop is designed for academic teachers and PhD students working in English Medium Instruction (EMI) contexts. It addresses the practical challenge of balancing disciplinary content with students’ varying levels of English proficiency, a tension that directly impacts teaching effectiveness and learning outcomes.

The session focuses on key challenges of EMI, including navigating complex academic discourse, supporting the development of discipline-specific vocabulary, and delivering clear and engaging presentations in English. It also highlights the importance of cultural awareness in diverse classrooms, helping participants recognize how communication styles, expectations, and interaction patterns may vary across contexts.
